Grisman fans unite! The Eastman DGM1 was designed in collaboration with Corrado Giacomel, and based on rare specimens from David Grisman’s personal collection. This was a limited offering from 2010. It features select hand-carved Adirondack Spruce top and AAA Carved Highly-flamed Maple back and sides. This is a really cool and contemporary take on the classic F-Style Mandolin. Don't miss out on this limited edition piece from Eastman!
Condition: Good. There are some finish cracks/checking on the mandolin, mostly located on and near the neck where it meets the bosy, by the 15th fret. These are not structural, and only in the finish. There are some light scratches and checking on the top as well. The frets have some divets in them up until about the 7th fret. It has been professionally looked over by our luthier.
Playability/Sound: The mandolin was just given a fresh set of D'Addario strings, and is singing beautifully. It's nice and loud, but still remains rich and lush for jazz melodies. It's super versatile! It plays well with medium to low action, and the minor fretwear doesn't hinder the playability much at all.
