In my opinion, the Fender American Original series is far superior to the old AVRIs that Fender used to make. These are true vintage recreations with just a few modern tweaks for playability and stability. In particular, this Fender '60s Telecaster is an absolutely inspiring guitar, at a price-point that's enticing even to a college student. Back in the 60's, they created what was known as the "Custom Telecaster" which was basically a fancier, more flashy version of the original Blackguard. For this series they start with an Alder body that is double bound and finished in a gorgeous Lake Placid Blue. Next, they use the vintage '60s "C" shape for the neck – it doesn't get more comfortable than this. Finally, they top it all off with the Pure Vintage '64 Gray-Bottom Single-Coil pickups to keep it sounding classic, and how you would expect a Tele from that period to sound. This guitar also has the Vintage Tall frets, so you can bend for days without ever having to worry about fretting out. This guitar also came right from the factory with an incredible setup, it plays like butter with low action. If you have any questions, please let us know!
