Fender Custom Shop 1951 Nocaster Heavy Relic
Fender Custom Shop strikes again: This '51 Nocaster Heavy Relic is giving us everything we ever wanted and more. The relic is gorgeous: it looks dead on for every well-loved vintage '50s tele we've seen. The back of the neck is worn down with most of the finish rubbed off, and makes it incredibly smooth to play up and down. This adds an extra level of comfort and playability to a guitar who's neck is known and loved for it's thickness and "baseball-bat" shape. For the electronics we went with the Hand-Wound 51 "Loaded" Nocaster pickups, which are overwound with a thicker wire to give a thicker, hotter output than standard nocaster pickups, while still retaining all of the qualities that made us fall in love with these guitars initially. This one plays perfectly and is set up as well as anyone could ask, with nice low action and spot-on intonation. This guitar won't last long, so if you have any questions on it please don't hesitate to ask!
