Fender Custom Shop 1963 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic w/ Roasted Neck
An instant shop favorite, this Fender Custom Shop 1963 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic is all about vintage and modern collision: the beautiful Roasted Maple neck plays just as sweet and smooth as you could ask for, while the 3-Tone Sunburst finish brings that classic vintage Fender look. Not to mention, the Journeyman Relic on this is PERFECT. Not a ding or scratch out of place, and the light checking looks as accurate as any real vintage guitar we've seen. The builders at the Fender Custom Shop are true masters of their craft.
This guitar weighs in right at 7 lbs 11 oz and plays like a dream. The frets are 6105's for the ultimate spec in comfort, and the electronics are Fender Custom Shop's 60 Strat Relic pickups. We also added the 1/2 blender for even more tonal options and control: when in pickup positions 1 or 2, the bottom tone knob blends in the neck pickup from 0-5 on the dial, and is a regular tone knob from 5-10. This gives the unique ability to add the neck pickup in parallel with the bridge for Tele-like middle position sounds. All the chime and bite you could need. This small addition truly makes this Stratocaster one of the most versatile guitars in our shop and on the market altogether. If you have any questions, please let us know!
