This Gibson A-1 Mandolin is from 1922 and is all original! It has aged beautifully, but has remained in great shape for being 100 years old. It has been fully and professionally looked over and dated by our Luthier. On the top, there are a few small dings throughout and some light scratching in the finish. There is one small deep scratch back by the bridge. The back is more scratched up, and has some buckle rash and small dings throughout. There are some scratches on the side, and some heavy wear from the mechanism that holds the pickguard in place. The hardware has started to patina, most noticeably on the bridge cover, but you can still read "The Gibson" clearly. There is some finish checking on the headstock as well. The most major issue concerning condition is the frets. Our luthier has recommended the mandolin to be re-fretted, so we are pricing it accordingly. It is definitely still playable and it sounds awesome! The original hardshell case is included. Please feel free to message us with any questions that you may have!
