Here we have a jaw-dropping D-18 1939 Authentic. We simply cannot get over the power of this thing! Banjo killer, cannon, whatever you prefer to call it, it absolutely IS. This particular 18 is very balanced across the entire fretboard with lots of string separation. Complex chording is articulate and clear. Low notes are punchy and full but never muddy. Dry, woody, powerful. This is exactly what an 18 is supposed to be. This is one of the more subtly aged Authentics that we've seen and closely resembles a dread that has been played often but taken care of very well since 1939.
