Here we have an absolutely drop-dead gorgeous Hollowbody II Piezo from PRS! It features a beautiful Yellow Tiger finish and one of the most 3-Dimensional 10-tops we've ever seen! This guitar is a fantastic weight at 5lbs 7oz and is extremely lively and resonant. Perhaps the best feature of these is the combinations of authentic acoustic and electric sounds you can get! On the electric side, it has the clarity and articulation that PRS is known for, but it also has really nice warmth and response. Gain sounds are refreshing and have a ton of depth. Clean, this guitar can do pretty much everything. It rolls off wonderfully for dark sounds, but it can also brighten up without being piercing. The tones you can get with the piezo make it hard to believe this is actually an electric guitar! These guitars currently have about a 2-year build time from PRS, so skip the wait! The LR Baggs/PRS Piezo System comes standard, providing musicians with the versatility of wielding both acoustic and electric guitar tones in one instrument. There are two output jacks on the Hollowbody II, allowing guitarists to plug into their favorite electric guitar or acoustic guitar amp or DI into a soundboard. By utilizing the separate blend control, the tone of the Hollowbody II’s 58/15 LT pickups can also be combined with acoustic sounds through a single output.
For 2020, PRS has updated this model with TCI-tuned pickups and nitro over celluose (CAB) finish.
