PRS Private Stock Special Semi-Hollow with Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard – Sage Glow

When we visited the PRS Private Stock Vault in the summer of 2024, our team at Midwood Guitar Studio hand-selected the woods and designed this breathtaking Special Semi-Hollow—and the result a year later is nothing short of euphoric. The Sage Glow finish over this wide ribbon Curly Maple gives this guitar a very intentionally organic vibe. We wanted it to resemble colors that are found in nature and would feel right at home playing Dead songs under the influence of "green" for hours on end. Paired with a white wash Swamp Ash back with green grain filler, a wildly figured Curly Maple neck, and a chocolaty Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, this build combines exotic tonewoods for resonance, clarity, and warmth that bloom with every note. The fact that they look this incredible together is simply an added perk. 

Tonally, this Special Semi-Hollow is endlessly versatile. Outfitted with a 58/15 LT in the bridge, a Narrowfield in the middle and the legendary 57/08 in the neck, it delivers everything from shimmering cleans to punchy, articulate drive. The semi-hollow construction adds a breathy, open character while maintaining plenty of focus and sustain. Finished in high-gloss nitro and loaded with smoked black hardware, this Private Stock is a work of art designed to inspire.
