The all-new Vox AC15 Hand-Wired 1x12 Combo Amplifier has landed at Midwood Guitar Studio, and it’s nothing short of a masterpiece. Born from an obsessive deep-dive into mint-condition AC15s and AC30s from the 1960s, this amp distills the legendary vintage Vox tone into its purest form—then refines it for today’s guitarist.

Every detail of the AC15 HWR is engineered to recreate that rich, musical, and unmistakably “vintage” sound. From a newly designed power supply that mimics the natural compression and sag of original AC circuits, to custom-wound output transformers that capture the harmonic sweetness of a golden-era amp, nothing was left to chance. Even the cabinet thickness was matched to the original for that punchy midrange magic.

Key Features:

• 15 Watts of Handwired Tone with a Celestion Greenback speaker

• Custom power supply replicates vintage compression and dynamics—without the unwanted ghost notes

• Custom output transformer tuned for authentic vintage saturation and harmonics

• Vintage-spec cabinet construction for rich, full midrange

• High-quality spring reverb for lush depth and ambience

• FX loop for crystal-clear integration of modulation and time-based effects

• External speaker out with easily removable cables—perfect for using attenuators at lower volumes

This is not just another reissue. The AC15 HWR is a bold return to form—painstakingly built to bring the best of the past into the hands of modern players. If you’ve been chasing that elusive vintage Vox sound, this amp delivers it in spades.
