2011 Fairbanks F-30 Roy Smeck | Preowned

The Fairbanks F-30 Roy Smeck is a distinctive, hand-built acoustic inspired by the powerful 12-fret guitars associated with the legendary performer Roy Smeck. Its deep body and centrally positioned bridge give it a remarkably full voice, combining strong bass response with clear trebles, rich overtones and the woody, throaty character that makes this design so compelling. This 2011 example pairs an Adirondack red spruce top with mahogany back and sides, delivering a responsive, dynamic sound with plenty of headroom and projection. The Madagascar rosewood fingerboard and bridge add a premium touch to an instrument built around traditional acoustic craftsmanship and a vintage-inspired design. With its comfortable round-neck configuration, the F-30 Roy Smeck brings the character of an old-school, deep-bodied 12-fret guitar into a practical and expressive instrument for modern playing.
