Martin J-16E Acoustic Electric Guitar - Black Smoke

The 2026 Martin J-16E Black Smoke combines the power and projection of a jumbo acoustic with a striking, modern look. Its gloss Black Smoke spruce top contrasts beautifully with the natural East Indian rosewood back and sides, creating a distinctive appearance that stands out on stage. The solid rosewood body delivers deep bass, rich overtones and articulate highs, while scalloped X-bracing enhances resonance and sustain for a full, dynamic sound. Whether you're driving a rhythm section with bold strumming or bringing depth and clarity to more nuanced playing, the J-16E offers the volume and presence to make itself heard. L.R. Baggs Element electronics provide a straightforward solution for live performance and recording, while the comfortable neck and refined 16 Series appointments make it a versatile choice for players looking for a powerful acoustic-electric with unmistakable Martin character.
