~2006-2008 Matchless HC-30 Reverb Head | Used

The Matchless HC-30 Reverb is the head version of Matchless’ flagship C-30 design, delivering the rich harmonics, dynamic response and distinctive character that have made these amplifiers so highly regarded. Its two channels offer very different approaches to shaping your sound, with the first providing a responsive, harmonically rich foundation and the second adding the distinctive character of an EF86-based circuit with a six-position tone control. Four EL84 power tubes deliver 30 watts of lively, complex power-tube response, while the switchable 30/15-watt operation gives you some added control over how hard you can push the amplifier. The Reverb version adds another dimension without taking away from the amp’s natural voice. With highly interactive controls, effects loop and selectable output impedance, the HC-30 Reverb offers an impressive amount of tonal control while retaining the immediate, touch-sensitive feel that makes a Matchless so rewarding to play.

This amp was recently sent back to Matchless for service. Out of tolerance capacitors and resistors were replaced. The latest coaxial reverb cable was also installed for improved noise reduction.
