The Headstrong Lil' King Reverb 1 x 12 Combo amplifier is the flagship amp from Headstrong Amps, and it's one of our best-selling amplifiers in the shop. The popularity of the Lil' King took off in 2023 and the demand has been very high due to its clean sonic characteristics. The Lil' King packs a lot of punch for a low powered amp and it's definitely a perfect fit for the studio or on stage.
The Lil' King Reverb is a true recreation of a 1964 Princeton reverb, but it features a 1x12 Alessandro speaker. This one in particular has black tolex, black knobs, and a very cool aged silver grill cloth. The tube reverb and tremolo sound incredibly three-dimensional - if you're looking for the some of the best blackface tones available, this is the amp for you!

It was and still is the world's first replica of the 1964 Princeton Reverb. We have painstakingly re-created one of the best small gig/rehearsal/recording amps of all time. Whether you are looking for a practice amp or a portable gig amp to take on the go, the Lil King fits the bill. The original came with an inefficient 10" speaker, which we also replicate for the die-hard purist. However, our most popular model is outfitted with a 12" Alessandro speaker. This helps with more direct projection of the sound as well as boosting low end for a more defined bottom end. Don't let the small size fool you, The Lil King packs big Blackpanel tone!
